10 month young cat to travel several weeks in motor home. We should take litter box. Any other travel tips?

Have taken cat in motor home several times on short trips. Cat rides under sofa and seems fearful to come out. We stopped for a dog in the grass break, put leases on dog and cat…cat was uncooperative and fought the lease. Can cats be trained for lease? Other than putting litter box in motor home can any of you give travel advice for cat.
